Chelsea's Eden Hazard: Playing for Real Madrid is everyone's dream

Eden Hazard has said he still dreams of playing for Real Madrid despite Zinedine Zidane having left his position as coach but added that "for the moment nobody has made me an offer."

Chelsea playmaker Hazard, preparing for a World Cup semifinal with Belgium, has spoken of his admiration for Zidane and been strongly linked with a big-money move to the Bernabeu.

But despite Zidane having been replaced by Julen Lopetegui, Hazard told beIN SPORTS his thinking had not really changed.

"Does Real make me dream less without Zidane? Zidane is someone special, it's true, but I think Real is everyone's dream," he said.

"Zidane or no Zidane, the white jersey is special but the blue jersey [of Chelsea] suits me well so it does not bother me if I stay.

"For now, it's the World Cup. As I have said at least 100 times, I am at Chelsea and for the moment nobody has made me an offer."

Chelsea finished fifth in the Premier League, winning the FA Cup, but the summer has seen turmoil at Stamford Bridge amid continuing speculation that coach Antonio Conte will be replaced by Maurizio Sarri.

Before the World Cup, Hazard said he only wanted to stay at Chelsea beyond the summer if the club was in a position to improve on last season and was waiting to see who the manager would be.

In February, Marca reported that Hazard had said: "You never know" when asked whether he was interested in a move to Madrid.

Meanwhile, Sport has reported that Barcelona are ready to make Hazard their marquee signing of the summer, adding that Hazard wants to leave Stamford Bridge to play Champions League football.
