Sheffield United have made a second bid for Burnley striker Ade Akinbiyi, according to the player's representative.
The Blades had an undisclosed offer for the 31-year-old turned down yesterday but United boss Neil Warnock has immediately come back with another offer for a player he has tried to sign several times in the past.
Akinbiyi actually turned down the chance to join the Blades when he made the £600,000 move from Stoke to Turf Moor in February last year.
But it seems Warnock, who has also been rebuffed in attempts to sign Cardiff's Cameron Jerome, is determined to get his man.
Akinbiyi's lawyer Gary Mellor said: 'We are aware that a seven-figure offer has been turned down and that another offer has been made which Burnley are considering.'
