Boumsong's younger brother joins CSKA Sofia
SOFIA, Jan 12 (Reuters) - French defender Yannick Boumsong, the younger brother of Newcastle United's Jean-Alain Boumsong, has joined Bulgarian champions CSKA Sofia on a two-and-half year contract, the club said on its website on Thursday.
The deal includes an option for one more year.
The 22-year-old former Auxerre player, who was a free agent, will become the second Frenchman in the Bulgarian Premier league, joining Levski Sofia's Sedrik Bardon.
CSKA Sofia have 40 points from 14 matches and lead the 15-team league by seven points ahead of city rivals Levski.
