Hull have signed Macclesfield striker Jon Parkin on an 18-month contract, becoming the Tigers' second signing in the space of two days.
The burly 24-year-old has moved to the KC Stadium for an undisclosed fee and joins fellow newly-signed striker Darryl Duffy in contention for a place in the starting line-up for Saturday's visit of Crystal Palace.
Macclesfield manager Brian Horton paid tribute to Parkin's contribution for the Silkmen.
'As a manager you're always disappointed to see good players leave but Jon is going to a good club and it really is a brilliant move for him,' he told the club's website.
'He's a great lad, influential both on the pitch and in the dressing room. He will be missed.'
