Two new caps in Angola's squad for Nations Cup

LUANDA, Jan 10 (Reuters) - Angola have named two uncapped players in their squad for the African Nations Cup finals in Egypt, handing first call-ups to Andre Titi Buengo and Marco Abreu, the Angolan Football Federation announced on Tuesday.

Buengo, from French Ligue 2 club Clermont Foot, and the Portimonense defender Abreu have been at the country's two-week training camp in Spain.

They are now also in a strong position to secure a berth in the squad for the World Cup finals in Germany later this year.

But two other potential newcomers, Pedro Kamata and the Leeds United defender Rui Marques, were left out for what the federation described as 'administrative reasons'.

Luanda-born Kamata is a former French under-21 international and Angola have been unable to obtain the necessary clearance from FIFA for a switch in national allegiance.

The 25-year-old Buengo has scored eight goals in the French Ligue 2 this season while Abreu is a possible replacement for left back Yamba Asaha, who has been left out ahead of an expected drugs ban from FIFA who will hear his disciplinary case this week in Zurich.

Angola play Morocco in a friendly in Marrakesh on Jan. 17 before heading to Egypt where are in Group B with Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of Congo and fellow World Cup finalists Togo.

Squad:

Goalkeepers: Goliath (Sagrada Esperanca), Joao Ricardo (unattached), Lama (Petro Atletico)

Defenders: Delgado (Primeiro Agosto), Jacinto (AS Aviacao), Jamba (AS Aviacao), Kali (Santa Clara, Portugal), Lebo-Lebo (Sagrada Esperanca), Loco (Benfica Luanda), Marco Abreu (Poritimonense, Portugal)

Midfielders: Andre (Kuwait SC, Kuwait), Edson (Pacos Ferreira, Portugal), Figueiredo (Varzim, Portugal), Gilberto (Al Ahli, Egypt), Mendonca (Varzim, Portugal), Miloy (InterClube), Ze Kalanga (Petro Atletico)

Forwards: Akwa (Al Wakra, Qatar), Andre Titi Buengo (Clermont Foot, France), Flavio (Al Ahli, Egypt), Love (AS Aviacao), Mantorras (Benfica, Portugal), Maurito (Al Wahda, United Arab Emirates).
