MARSEILLE, Jan 6 (Reuters) - Left back Jerome Bonnissel is joining Olympique Marseille until the end of the season, the Ligue 1 club announced on Friday.
The 32-year-old has been without a team since leaving Fulham in 2004 and joins Marseille subject to a medical.
"He is an experienced player and has a lot of qualities. He is fit, he convinced me," Marseille coach Jean Fernandez told the club's website.
He started his professional career in 1993 with Montpellier before joining Spanish side Deportivo La Coruna in 1996.
Bonnissel then left for Girondins Bordeaux before signing with Glasgow Rangers in January 2003 where he won Scottish Premier League and League Cup winners' medals the same year.
Bonnissel joined Fulham for the 2003/04 season but played only 16 games for the west London club.
