Youla dropped from Guinea's squad
CONAKRY, Jan 1 (Reuters) - Guinea have surprisingly dropped Besiktas striker Souleymane Youla from a 25-man preliminary squad named by coach Patrice Neveu for the African Nations Cup finals in Egypt.
Youla joins veteran former Liverpool striker Titi Camara and midfielder Abdoul Salam Sow on the sidelines for the tournament, which starts on January 20.
Neveu will cut his squad by two before the January 10 deadline for the submission of final squad lists for the tournament.
Guinea, who reached the quarter-finals of the last Nations Cup finals in 2004, have been drawn in Group C against South Africa, Tunisia and Zambia.
