Zimbabwe and Zambia draw in friendly match
HARARE, Jan 1 (Reuters) - Zimbabwe and neighbours Zambia drew 1-1 in the last international of 2005 played in Harare on Saturday.
The game formed part of both countries' preparations for this month's African Nations Cup finals in Egypt.
Zimbabwe's German-based defender George Mbwando, recalled to the side ahead of the Nations Cup, put Zimbabwe ahead in the 63rd minute.
Zambia, who lost to their southern neighbours in the Cosafa Castle Cup final in August, equalised through Dube Phiri in the final five minutes of the match.
Both sides now head to France for pre-Nations Cup training camps.
Zimbabwe have been drawn in a tough Group D with Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal while Zambia play in group C with Guinea, South Africa and Nations Cup holders Tunisia.
