MARSEILLE, France, Dec 15 (Reuters) - Talented young French midfielder Franck Ribery is not for sale, Olympique Marseille sports director Jose Anigo said on Thursday.
'Franck can't be transferred, neither during the winter transfer window nor at the end of the season,' Anigo told reporters.
'If we want to build a great team in Marseille, we must not sell our best players. We need Franck.'
Several European clubs have expressed an interest in the 22-year-old Ribery, who is being hailed as the next Zinedine Zidane.
Pressure is mounting on France coach Raymond Domenech to take the energetic under-21 international to next year's World Cup finals.
