Slovenia keeper Mavric to miss Scotland match
LJUBLJANA, Oct 11 (Reuters) - Slovenia goalkeeper Borut Mavric will miss the final World Cup Group Five qualifier against Scotland on Wednesday because of a knee injury.
Mavric sustained the injury in the 1-0 defeat to Italy last weekend and will be replaced by Samir Handanovic for the match in Celje.
Midfielder Simon Seslar of Israeli side Hapoel Nazareth Elit is also out due to injury and coach Brane Oblak has called Dejan Nemec of Domzale into the squad, the Slovenian Soccer Association said on Tuesday.
Neither Scotland nor Slovenia can qualify for the World Cup finals in Germany next year.
