Everton, West Ham among clubs tracking Leicester's Eppiah - sources

Josh Eppiah Leicester
Josh Eppiah is a Belgium under-19 international.

A host of clubs in the Premier League and abroad are tracking Leicester forward Josh Eppiah, sources close to the player have told ESPN FC.

Eppiah has been impressing at Leicester and is regarded as one of the best young prospects to emerge at the club in recent years.

The Belgium under-19 international's progress at Leicester has not gone unnoticed, with several of their Premier League rivals and clubs from the Championship and abroad keeping tabs on his situation at the King Power Stadium.

Everton are monitoring Eppiah, with Sam Allardyce's assistant at Goodison Park, Craig Shakespeare, a big admirer of Eppiah, having worked with the player during his time in charge of Leicester and involving the forward in first-team training on a regular basis.

Eppiah also impressed against Everton in their recent Premier League Cup clash, scoring the winner against them last week.

West Ham, Bournemouth and Stoke are also checking on Eppiah, along with Championship duo Leeds and Wolves. Bundesliga side RB Leipzig have also been alerted to Eppiah's potential as they scout Europe for some of the best young talent.

Leicester have high hopes for Eppiah and would not want to lose him, but are aware they might have to fend off growing interest in the youngster.

He has progressed through Leicester's academy and has produced some standout performances for the under-23s this season, though he has yet to make his first-team debut.
