Bayern to consider Lothar Matthaus' ideas, like targeting Christian Pulisic

With Bayern now holding a four-point lead in the Bundesliga, Alejandro Moreno says the reason for their turnaround is very clear.
Christian Pulisic pulls off a stunning nutmeg on Arjen Robben, Toronto FC and New York Red Bulls go at it in the tunnel and more in the Sweeper.

Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has said he will take the ideas of Lothar Matthaus on board when signing new players.

Matthaus said this week that the club should target Christian Pulisic after his impressive performance against them for Borussia Dortmund at the weekend.

The Bayern legend also suggested that Hertha Berlin striker Vedad Ibisevic would be a good back-up for Robert Lewandowski.

And Salihamidzic told Sky: "Lothar always has great ideas, and I respect him a great deal. I will incorporate his ideas into our deliberations."

Ibisevic, 33, has scored 105 Bundesliga goals in a career that has also encompassed spells at Hoffenheim and Stuttgart.

Asked about Matthaus' comments, the striker said: "It's difficult to answer such a question right after the game." However, he confirmed there had been no contact with Bayern.

With Lewandowski and Thomas Muller both out injured, Bayern went into last week's Champions League game against Celtic devoid of any back-up striking options.

Coach Jupp Heynckes called under-19 forward Manuel Wintzheimer into the squad and employed James Rodriguez, Arjen Robben and Kingsley Coman as an attacking trio with no recognised striker.
