Vincent Janssen seals season-long loan to Fenerbahce from Tottenham
Fenerbahce have completed the singing of striker Vincent Janssen on loan from Tottenham Hotspur for the rest of the season.
Janssen rejected a loan move to Brighton before the English window closed, and he will now move to Turkey on its transfer deadline day.
Fenerbahce shared pictures on Twitter of the striker signing his contract while the player himself wrote: "Thanks for the warm welcome today! Looking forward to this new adventure in Istanbul. Haydi Fener"
The BBC had earlier reported that Fener were in talks with Diego Costa's representatives, but the move for Janssen would suggest any deal for the Chelsea striker is dead.
Janssen joined Spurs for £17 million from AZ Alkmaar last summer but he scored just once from open play in the Premier League last season, and he has fallen down the pecking order following the £12m deadline-day signing of Fernando Llorente from Swansea.
The Netherlands international was omitted from Spurs' 21-man Champions League squad this week but on Thursday manager Mauricio Pochettino insisted he had a future at the club, saying: "That is about numbers. But in January we check again to see if we change the names in the squad. But he has a future like other players here."
Janssen, 23, will link-up with another Spurs flop with Roberto Soldado at Fener, as well as former Arsenal striker Robin van Persie.
