U.S. international Julian Green joins Greuther Furth on loan from Stuttgart

United States international Julian Green has joined second-tier club Greuther Furth on a season-long loan from Stuttgart.

Green, 22, joined Stuttgart from Bayern Munich in January but has struggled for regular playing time.

This season, he has been deemed surplus to first-team requirements by Stuttgart coach Hannes Wolf and switched to Greuther Furth, currently bottom of the second tier.

"Julian is a young and ambitious player, who most of all stands out with his pace," Greuther Furth sporting director Ramazan Yildirim told the club's official website.

"He has been trained well in Bayern Munich's academy and is a reinforcement for our wing.
