West Ham agree deal for Montenegro starlet Sead Haksabanovic - sources

West Ham have agreed a fee to sign Sead Haksabanovic, sources say.

West Ham United are closing in on a move for Halmstads BK youngster Sead Haksabanovic, sources close to the London club have told ESPN FC.

Haksabanovic is regarded as one of the most promising young talents in Europe after impressing for the Swedish club.

Sources said West Ham have agreed a €3 million (£2.7m) fee, with the 18-year-old attacking midfielder given permission to travel to London for talks and a medical.

Haksabanovic played for Sweden's youth sides before switching his allegiances to Montenegro, making his senior debut for them in a World Cup qualifier against Armenia last June.

He has scored five goals in 22 games for Halmstads this season, with his performances bringing him to the attention of a number of clubs across Europe.

Haksabanovic has previously had trials with Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea.
