Borussia Dortmund's Marc Bartra dismisses talk of Man United move

Borussia Dortmund defender Marc Bartra has played down talk of joining Manchester United after being linked with a move to the Premier League club.

Bartra, 26, joined Dortmund from Barcelona last summer and went on to become one of their key defenders last season before sustaining severe injuries in the attack on the club's team bus in April.

The Spain international was earlier this month linked with United in the British media, but speaking to Bild he ruled out a possible switch.

"It shows that I've done a good job when other clubs show interest in me," Bartra said.

"And I am delighted to receive that sort of recognition. But I am convinced that in Dortmund we will all be able to celebrate many nice experiences."

Bartra recovered from his injuries at the end of last season to help Dortmund win the DFB Pokal final.
