Hellas Verona complete signing of striker Antonio Cassano
Hellas Verona have completed the signing of former Italy international Antonio Cassano, who has not played in over a year.
The 34-year-old forward sat out last season during a contract dispute with Sampdoria but has now sealed his move to the newly promoted Serie A side.
"Hellas Verona announces that it has completed the signing of the footballer Antonio Cassano," a Verona statement read.
"The forward, after taking his medicals this afternoon, has left for Primiero to join the Gialloblu's pre-season training camp."
Verona will be reunited with strike partner Giampaolo Pazzini, with whom he formed a lethal goal scoring partnership at Samp at the turn of the decade.
Cassano previously played for the likes of Real Madrid, Inter and AC Milan.
The move comes on the same day that Verona completed the signing of winger Alessio Cerci.
