Fenerbahce sign Cameroon's Carlos Kameni

Cameroon international Carlos Kameni has ended his five-year stay at Malaga, signing with Turkish giants Fenerbahce on a three-year deal.

The Super Lig side confirmed the deal on their official Twitter handle on Wednesday evening, with BBC Sport reporting that the goalkeeper has moved for a fee of $2.26 million.

33-year-old Kameni moves to Turkey after 13 years in Spain, having moved to Espanyol from Le Havre in 2004 and spending eight years with the Periquitos before joining Malaga in 2012.

He passed a medical with Fener on Wednesday, and becomes the second high-profile African signing at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium after Morocco's Nabil Dirar was signed from AS Monaco in June.

Kameni featured 35 times in the Spanish top flight for Malaga last season, memorably delivering an outstanding display to keep Barcelona at bay in a 2-0 victory in early April.

Despite his consistent showings in the Spanish top flight, Kameni hasn't featured for Cameroon since November 2015, with Hugo Broos preferring Sevilla's Fabrice Ondoa between the sticks.

The emergence of Ajax youngster Andre Onana -- who deputised for Ondoa at the Confederations Cup -- further pushes the veteran further down the pecking order for Africa's champions.
