Manchester City keen on Lyon midfielder Corentin Tolisso - sources

Corentin Tolisso
Corentin Tolisso can play as either a defensive or an attacking midfielder.

Manchester City are tracking Lyon midfielder Corentin Tolisso, sources in France have told ESPN FC.

City boss Pep Guardiola plans to reshape his squad for next season and is drawing up a list of targets.

Sources have told ESPN FC that Tolisso is among them after impressing for Lyon over the last couple of seasons.

The 22-year-old came through the ranks at the Ligue 1 club and has made more than 150 appearances for them.

The FC crew evaluate Arsenal's prospects of upending Manchester City in their FA Cup semifinal encounter.

He can play as either a defensive or attacking midfielder and has scored 14 goals in all competitions so far this season.

Tolisso won his first cap for France in the friendly with Spain last month, and sources have told ESPN FC that City scouts watched him score in last week's Europa League quarterfinal against Besiktas.

City are searching for midfield reinforcements, with Yaya Toure out of contract at the end of the season, while Fabian Delph and Fernando could also be surplus to requirements.

Lyon are keen to keep Tolisso but are preparing themselves for interest from City and other top European sides.
