Timo Werner happy at RB Leipzig amid reported Liverpool interest

Timo Werner is among the top goal scorers in the Bundesliga this season.

Timo Werner has played down speculation linking him with a move to Liverpool and said he is happy at RB Leipzig.

Werner, 21, has scored 14 goals in 24 Bundesliga games since joining Leipzig from Stuttgart at the start of the season on a contract until 2020.

There have been reports that Jurgen Klopp would like to bring his countryman to Liverpool, but Werner is content where he is.

"I want to keep growing together with RB Leipzig and keep developing here," he told Welt am Sonntag.

"I am still only 21 years old and still have plenty of years ahead of me.

"I am very happy at Leipzig. Joining this club has been a stroke of luck. I have found my way again under Ralph Hasenhuttl."
