Marseille have confirmed the termination of Lassana Diarra's contract, although no reason was given by the club for the action.

The former Chelsea, Arsenal and Real Madrid midfielder arrived in Marseille in 2015 and has been linked with a move to the Chinese Super League.
A France international, Diarra missed Euro 2016 because of injury, and has previously said a €10 million fine he has been ordered to pay former club Lokomotiv Moscow will "shape my future."
