Bayer Leverkusen have signed Aleksandar Dragovic from Dynamo Kiev.

Bayer Leverkusen have announced the signing of Austria defender Aleksandar Dragovic from Dynamo Kiev.

The 25-year-old has penned a five-year contract with the Bundesliga club and said he is looking forward to making the step up in class.

"Kiev for me was a real important stage in my career, but now the Bundesliga excites me as one of the best leagues in the world,'' Dragovic said on the Leverkusen website.

"The join a club of this size, Champions League hopefuls, and to join up with my teammates Julian Baumgartlinger and Ramazan Ozcan is fantastic.''

Dragovic, capped 38 times by Austria, joined Dynamo from Basel in 2013, having started his career with hometown club Austria Vienna.
