FC Dallas winger Fabian Castillo's Trabzonspor deal falls through

When Fabian Castillo is on, watch out. The 24-year-old Colombian winger was certainly in the mood Saturday night, registering two assists and creating a multitude of chances in FC Dallas' win over the Chicago Fire.

Colombian Fabian Castillo will be returning to Major League Soccer after the FC Dallas winger's negotiations with Turkish side Trabzonspor fell through.

Having spent six years with Dallas in the MLS, Castillo scored 34 goals and 30 assists in just 159 regular-season appearances.

He was in Turkey last week to meet Tranzonspor officials to seal a deal to play in the Turkish Super Lig, but ESPN analyst Taylor Twellman revealed at half-time during Sunday's game against LA Galaxy that the deal was "dead."

The MLS club confirmed on Monday that Castillo would not be moving abroad.

Castillo, 24, will now return to Dallas and continue his good form this season -- five goals and five assists in 22 games -- where his presence will be crucial for the U.S. Open Cup semifinal against the Galaxy on Aug. 10.
