Sevilla reach agreement to sign Joaquin Correa from Sampdoria

Joaquin Correa joined Sampdoria from Estudiantes in December 2014.

Sevilla are set to sign Sampdoria midfielder Joaquin Correa on a five-year deal.

Correa, 21, will undergo a medical on Monday with the Liga side before being unveiled.

The Argentine joined Sampdoria from Estudiantes in December 2014 and made a total of 31 Serie A appearances, scoring three goals.

"Sevilla FC and UC Sampdoria have reached an agreement, in the absence of documents and a mandatory medical examination, for the signing of Joaquin Correa, who will sign a contract for the next five seasons," a Sevilla statement read.

The fee for Correa is reported to be €13 million, with another €5m due in bonuses.
