Roberto Mancini's son Andrea joins D.C. United after trial
D.C. United has signed former Inter Milan and Manchester City youth Andrea Mancini.
Mancini, the youngest son of Inter boss Roberto Mancini, secured the move after a successful trial.
D.C. United said the 23-year-old midfielder, who last featured for Hungarian club Szombathelyi Haladas, will be added to the roster pending receipt of his International Transfer Certificate and P-1 Visa.
Dave Kasper, United general manager and VP of soccer operations, said on the club's official website: "Andrea impressed us in preseason with his technical proficiency and tactical understanding.
"We look forward to seeing him develop with the rest of our group."
The Italian was with Inter's youth team during his father's initial stint in charge of the Nerazzurri and later spent time under Mancini Sr. at the City academy.
He has also featured for Italian side Fano, Real Valladolid B and Budapest Honved.
