Ilkay Gundogan's Manchester City talks don't worry Borussia Dortmund

Ilkay Gundogan has recorded three Bundesliga assists this season.

Borussia Dortmund have said they are relaxed after pictures showed Ilkay Gundogan's agent meeting with Manchester City's director of football Txiki Begiristain.

This week, Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf published pictures of Begiristain meeting with Ilhan Gundogan, the uncle and agent of Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.

Gundogan, 25, is under contract at Dortmund until 2017, and a decision on his future is expected before the summer.

Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel said he "does not care" about the pictures, and added that it is "daily business" to plan a squad for next season.

Tuchel, however, admitted that he is "not convinced" Gundogan, who is under contract until 2017, will stay.

In quotes published by kicker magazine on Thursday, Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke said: "It happens about 1,000 times a week that agents meet club representatives."

Dortmund have in the past said that they do not want talks with Gundogan to drag on into the summer, and that there will be a timelier decision than last year when the midfielder only prolonged his stay for one more year on July 1.

Dortmund, who according to Bild have offered Gundogan an annual salary of over €10 million including all bonuses in the latest talks, have not given up on keeping one of their key players, with Watzke saying: "There is no decision."

On Thursday, Bild reported that Dortmund's chances of winning the race for Gundogan's signature are currently at 50-50, and that the midfielder, who has been linked with Barcelona, has not received an offer from the Liga club.
