Grenet completes Rennes move

Francois Grenet has made his move from Derby to French First Division side Rennes permanent following his loan switch in August.

Although the 27 year-old full-back is currently sidelined with a calf injury, the two clubs have agreed a fee of £800,000 for the French `A' international.

The fee is in addition to the £100,000 received by the Rams when the former Bordeaux man first joined Rennes on loan.

Grenet make 19 appearances for Derby last season after a £3 million move from Bordeaux, but the cash-strapped Rams have let him leave for a cut-price fee after their relegation.
