Adil Rami has rejected Monaco's advances to remain at AC Milan, the France international centre-back revealed on Twitter.

Seeking to strengthen the heart of their defence, Monaco had targeted Rami, 28, who joined Milan on loan from Valencia last January before signing a three-year deal with the Rossoneri earlier this summer.
The Milan Channel took the unusual step of announcing last season's Ligue 1 runners-up had made an offer for Rami, only for the former Lille defender to state his intention to remain in Italy via his official Twitter feed.
"Thank you very much for the messages. Truly. But I am rossonero, and I will not move from Milan. Forza Milan! With a lot of respect for Monaco," he wrote.
Grazie mille a tutti per gli messaggi ,Veramente MA sono rossonero e no me muovo dal Milan #forzamilan ⚫️ con molto rispetto al monaco - Rami13officiel (@Rami13officiel) August 27, 2014
Italian media claimed Milan had approached Monaco to offer them Rami, who left Valencia under a cloud after publicly criticising his coach and teammates.
