Liverpool have not approached AC Milan about a move for Mario Balotelli, Rossoneri CEO Adriano Galliani has confirmed.
Balotelli, 24, has regularly been linked with a return to the Premier League since leaving Manchester City for Milan in January 2013.
Recent reports have suggested Liverpool, who are still looking to fill the attacking void left by Luis Suarez's departure, have contacted the seven-time European champions about a potential 22 million-euro transfer.
Galliani, however, insists that no bid has been lodged by the Reds -- though he did hint that the situation could change before the end of the transfer window.
"At the moment there has been no offer from Liverpool from Balotelli, so there are no negotiations," Galliani is quoted as telling Italian news agency Ansa.
"But the transfer market finishes on September 1, so we'll see."
