Goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa has earned a move to Malaga after his fine performances for Mexico at the World Cup.
Ochoa's contract at Ajaccio expired at the end of last season, and with the French club relegated to Ligue 2, Ochoa was eager to find a new club.
Malaga, who finished 11th in the Primera Division last season, have moved to sign Ochoa, 28, and will introduce him at a news conference on Friday.
Ochoa became a phenomenon at the World Cup, making six saves in a 0-0 draw against hosts Brazil.
He conceded only one goal in three games in the group stage before conceding twice in the final minutes of the 2-1 defeat to Netherlands in the round of 16.
Ochoa also led the French top flight in saves in each of the past three seasons.
