Klopp: Reus, Hummels not for sale

Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp will certainly be pleased with his club's latest signing, German international Mathias Ginter.

Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp has reiterated that neither Marco Reus nor Mats Hummels will be sold this summer.

Manchester United have been linked with a 20-million-euro bid for Germany defender Hummels -- speculation that Klopp dismissed on Tuesday.

Reus is also said to be in demand, with Dortmund having lost key players Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski to Bayern Munich in recent windows, but Klopp has stressed that the forward and Hummels are staying.

"If that's not a hoax, then I'll eat a broomstick," Klopp told Sky Sport News. "While people are always talking about such derisory low sums, it's all total rubbish.

"Both of them are staying. What I say cannot apply forever, of course, but I can't see any tendency that either of them, during this transfer window, might get the feeling they would prefer to be elsewhere.

"I don't have to worry about them, it's all pure speculation."

Hummels' stock rose during the World Cup, in which he contributed two goals to Germany's triumphant march while marshalling a previously maligned back line.

Reus, who scored 16 goals in 30 Bundesliga appearances last season, was ruled out of a trip to Brazil just 24 hours prior to departure due to injury.

"It's only understandable that other clubs are interested, but particularly in these two cases, that doesn't mean they're going to get them," Klopp added.
