Quagliarella leaves Juve for Torino

Juventus have appointed former AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri as Antonio Conte's replacement for the Italian champions. Allegri joins Juventus on a two-year deal, as the Turin side search for their fourth consecutive Serie A title.

Fabio Quagliarella is set to leave Juventus to return to Torino, the club where he began his professional career.

Quagliarella, 31, will move for a three million euro fee on a three-year deal on Friday, according to Tuttosport.

The man who launched his career with Torino in Serie B in 2005, Ezio Rossi, says Quagliarella is just what Torino need, and likened the striker to the man he will replace in the Toro attack, Ciro Immobile.

Fabio Quagliarella is set to sign a three-year deal with Torino.

"They are both quite similar," he told the club's official website. "He makes the same kind of runs as a striker and has a powerful shot. And knowing him like I do, I think he will still have the very same desire even today, at the age of 30.
