Marko Marin linked with Frankfurt

Marin could be on his way back to Germany.

Chelsea fringe player Marko Marin has been linked with a return to the Bundesliga at Eintracht Frankfurt, according to reports in the German media.

Germany international Marin, 25, won the last of his 16 caps in the group stages at the 2010 World Cup, and moved to Chelsea from Werder Bremen in 2012.

But an injury at the beginning of his Stamford Bridge career put an early end to his hopes of breaking into the Blues lineup, and he was sent out to Sevilla on loan last season.

Marin, who won his second consecutive Europa League medal at Sevilla, returns to London later this summer and told Bild: "I'll start there in July. Let's see what happens."

Bild reported that Eintracht Frankfurt have been in talks about a potential transfer of the attacking midfielder, but he would only say: "There are enquiries from the Bundesliga."
