MADRID -- Spanish champions Atletico Madrid have announced an agreement to sign goalkeeper Miguel Moya from neighbouring club Getafe.
Moya's arrival could pave the way for the exit of Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who has played at Atletico for the past three seasons on loan from Chelsea.
He will be the second summer arrival at the Estadio Vicente Calderon, following last week's signing of Argentine attacker Adrian Correa from San Lorenzo.
Atletico said on their official website that Moya has agreed to sign a three-year contract after he undergoes a medical examination. The 30-year-old injured his right knee in March and needed surgery, ruling him out for the remainder of the season.
Moya has played in La Liga for the past 10 seasons, turning out for Mallorca and Valencia before spending the last three seasons with Getafe.
