'Didier Drobga not too old for Juventus'

Didier Drogba scored the winning penalty when Chelsea won the Champions League in 2012.

Didier Drogba is "not too old" for Juventus according John Elkann, president of the club's owners, Fiat.

- Rzouki: Season Review

Following his decision to leave Galatasaray, the former Chelsea forward has been linked with a move to the Bianconeri this summer to add extra experience to their attack for an assault on the Champions League -- and a fourth straight scudetto -- next season.

The 36-year-old has been linked with Juve in the past, but now seems closer than ever to joining the Serie A champions after receiving Elkann's seal of approval.

"He's not too old," Elkan said. "Roger Milla was not a kid when he managed to surprise everybody with Cameroon."

Reports in Italy cite sources close to Drogba claiming that Juve are one of the options he is assessing for what could be the final season of his career.

"I've spoken a lot with Didier these days and I know that his family will have a major bearing on his decision," the general manager of Galatasaray Cenk Ergun said to calciomercato.com. "Juventus are a possibility."

With the loan of Pablo Daniel Osvaldo expiring and the futures of Mirko Vucinic and Fabio Quagliarella still unclear, Juve are searching for a new striker as an alternative to Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente.

Coach Antonio Conte has made it clear that he does not feel his current squad of players can go any further in Europe, which is why Drogba's experience as Champions League winner makes him an interesting target for the Old Lady.
