Leonardo hints at return to PSG

PSG forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic admits that his side have found it difficult to motivate themselves after clinching a second consecutive league title.

Former Paris Saint-Germain director of football Leonardo has hinted at a return to the club this summer.

The Brazilian was forced to resign from the Ligue 1 champions at the end of last season after receiving an initial nine-month suspension for pushing a referee.

The ban was later increased but then appealed by Leonardo, who is due in Paris on May 30 for a hearing which he hopes will be the end of the process.

PSG have never moved to replace the former AC Milan and Inter Milan coach, but Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Wednesday that the 44-year-old is expected to return to the Parc des Princes.

Speaking to L'Equipe about the speculation, Leonardo said: "In my life, everything is possible. You know my strong relationship with PSG. I have this club in my mind.

"But there is a date of May 30 before which nothing can happen with me.''

Leonardo, who is thought to want a return to coaching in the future -- three years after leaving Inter -- has remained in close contact with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

His recruitment expertise could be key for the club in a summer when they are expected to be hit with penalties for breaking UEFA's financial fair play regulations.
