Marco Reus yet to commit to Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus has remained coy over his long-term future, saying at an award ceremony on Tuesday: "We'll see about that."

Marco Reus has stressed he is happy at Dortmund but suggested he wants to be convinced the club will challenge for trophies.

Since returning from injury in mid-March, the 24-year-old has been a key factor in Dortmund's recent return to form, scoring 10 and setting up seven of the team's 24 goals during that time.

On Tuesday, Reus was named Borussia Player of the Year by local Dortmund paper Ruhr Nachrichten, and his excellent form has led to renewed speculation he could be the next star to leave the Westfalenstadion.

The Germany international is under contract until 2017, but his current deal has a release clause of 35 million euros that may be activated in the summer of 2015 and he said he has yet to agree new terms.

"Nothing has changed," he said during the award ceremony. "We will make an announcement when there is something to announce.

"It's like that in this business. Every player only has one career and wants to get the best out of it. You have to decide what's best for you. We'll see about that."

The former Borussia Moenchengladbach attacker has yet to win a major trophy since joining BVB in 2012 and he said: "Every footballer has his goals and is dreaming of winning titles. At the end of your career, you want to be able to say that you've won many titles."

Dortmund, who saw Mario Goetze leave for Bayern Munich last summer, will also lose Robert Lewandowski to Pep Guardiola's side at the end of the current campaign. Dortmund have already announced that Sunderland's Ji Dong-Won and Hertha Berlin's Adrian Ramos will be joining the club, with others set to follow.

Asked whether Dortmund's activities on the transfer market could influence his decision, Reus said: "Robert became a world-class player here. You can always pass the ball to him. He is dangerous in front of the goal. That is a loss for the team, because we all know how Lewy plays.

"To bring in another player who might not be a like-for-like replacement but has qualities of his own is important for the team, and would also send out a signal to everyone else that losing Lewandowski does not make that much of a difference."

He added: "We intend to do great things here at Dortmund and I've got a valid contract here and I am just delighted to be able to live this club in every second."
