Oscar wary of World Cup injury setback

Chelsea midfielder Oscar has said he hopes to play in the final Premier League match of the season -- but is wary of jeopardising his World Cup chances with Brazil if he exacerbates a hip injury.

Oscar helped himself to his second and Chelsea's fifth after half-time.
Oscar has not played in the last three Chelsea games.

The 22-year-old has not played in the Blues' past three games, but was on the bench for both legs of the Champions League semifinal defeat to Atletico Madrid.

Speaking after the 3-1 second-leg defeat at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, he said the injury meant he was likely to miss Sunday's home game against Norwich, but added that he could play in the Premier League finale at Cardiff.

"I'm not playing because I felt a pain due to an injury to the abductor," he told Globo Sport. "In the last game against Liverpool I was not called on.

"Yes, I warmed up [against Atletico], but [Chelsea manager Jose] Mourinho knew that I could hardly play. Maybe I will not play the next game because I could get a more serious abductor injury and he knows it.

"We're treating me to try to play the final match of the Premier League, but I have to take care for the World Cup.

"We still have two very important games in the Premier League because Chelsea can be champions, but it is important to rest because the World Cup is here."
