Demba Ba 'could see himself at PSG'

ESPN FC's Adrian Healey recaps Chelsea's late heroics to bounce PSG out of the Champions League and move onto the semi-finals.

Chelsea striker Demba Ba has admitted he would welcome a move to Paris Saint-Germain, the team he knocked out of the Champions League earlier this week.

Moonda: Ba gives Senegal hope

Ba, 28, came off the bench to score three minutes from time and give Chelsea the 2-0 win they needed to eliminate the French side and progress to the Champions League semifinals.

Demba Ba scores the dramatic 87th-minute goal which edged Chelsea past PSG.
Ba's late goal saw Chelsea through to the Champions League semifinals at PSG's expense.

However, recent public criticism of his strikers by Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho suggests Ba's time at Stamford Bridge is running out, with the player himself saying he expects to leave this summer.

The Senegal international, who was born just outside the French capital and supported PSG as a child, told Le Parisien's print edition he would welcome a switch to the Parc des Princes.

"Yes, I could really see myself at Paris, even if the new dimension of the club means they are looking more at international stars at 60 million euros than sure things at 10-15 million," he said, before jokingly adding: "But if PSG are looking for a player compatible with Zlatan..."

The former Hoffenheim, West Ham and Newcastle forward also revealed that a move to Ligue 1 was a prospect in the January transfer window, though it was one of PSG's rivals who were the potential destination at the time.

"I've never played as a professional in France," Ba, who began his career at lower-league side Rouen before moving to Belgian club Mouscron, said. "I thought about it last winter. Things might have worked out with Monaco in January.

"Now, if I leave a club like Chelsea, at the top of the pyramid, I mustn't make a mistake. There aren't many clubs above them."
