Dortmund announce Adrian Ramos deal

Borussia Dortmund have announced the signing of Hertha Berlin attacker Adrian Ramos for a reported fee of nine million euros.

Ramos, who has scored 16 goals in the Bundesliga this season, will move to the Westfalenstadion in the summer after agreeing a contract until 2018.

The Colombia international told Hertha’s official website: “It was my wish to take the next step in my career and be able to play in the Champions League. I will give it my all until the end of the season, to help Hertha win as many points as possible.”

The 28-year-old, who has scored 32 goals and provided 18 assists in 89 Bundesliga appearances for Hertha, will join Dortmund aiming to fill the void left by Robert Lewandowski, who has agreed to join Bayern Munich in the summer.

BVB sporting director Michael Zorc told his club’s official website: “Adrian Ramos is an excellent footballer and one of the top goalscorers in Germany. He perfectly meets our requirements.”

However, Zorc indicated in Sport Bild that there could be a further arrival, saying: “We will sign two attackers for sure.”

Dortmund have already announced that South Korea striker Ji Dong-Won will join on a free transfer in the summer.
