Calf problem to rule out Eden Hazard

Chelsea first-team manager Jose Mourinho praised his side's ambition and spirit as they overcame a two-goal deficit to defeat PSG.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is expecting Eden Hazard to be sidelined for at least two weeks with a calf injury.

• Brewin: Forgotten man saves Chelsea
• Delaney: Mourinho outwits Blanc in the end

Hazard was substituted in the 18th minute of Chelsea's dramatic 2-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain that saw them progress to the semifinals of the Champions League.

The Belgium international has been a star performer for the Blues this season, scoring 14 Premier League goals, but it seems that Mourinho will have to make do without his playmaker for at least a fortnight.

"It is some problem with this calf," Mourinho said. "It's a muscular problem and, even when they are not serious, you cannot normally play for a couple of weeks, minimum, but I have no idea the dimension of his injury."

Hazard added in the Mirror: "I had already felt some pain in my calf during the warming-up. I didn't want to take a risk."

If tests confirm Hazard is to be out for two weeks then the midfielder would miss league games against Swansea and Sunderland and potentially the first leg of the Champions League semifinals, but could see him return in time to face Liverpool on April 27.

The midfielder was replaced by Andre Schuerrle who went on to open the scoring before Demba Ba struck with three minutes left to clinch the Blues' progress on away goals.
