AC Milan's Kaka interested in MLS move

Kaka has revealed he would seek to play for a Major League Soccer club if he were to leave AC Milan this summer.

Kaka will discuss his future with the club at the end of the season.

Paul: Milan conquer Florence

The Brazilian, 31, returned to the San Siro on a free transfer in the summer after a four-year spell with Real Madrid, but he has been unable to avert the club’s slide towards mid-table.

Kaka told the Corriere della Sera that he had always anticipated that his second spell with the Rossoneri would be more difficult than his first, during which time he won Serie A and the Champions League.

“When I arrived, I knew that the situation was not simple, but I have never regretted coming back here,” he said. “Every big club has times of crisis -- that’s part of football and part of life.”

He added that he was “happy” with his choice after a “difficult four years” in Madrid but would seek a meeting with the club’s general manager, Adriano Galliani, at the end of the campaign to determine whether he will remain in Italy.

“One day, I would like to play in America,” he said. “Let’s see. At the end of the season, I will talk to Galliani. Not just to speak about bonuses and money -- money is not the main thing for me now, and I think that is understood. I want to see what his ideas are and what the club’s ideas are.

“If it turns out I need to move, I will choose the MLS.”
