Seedorf: No Berlusconi ultimatum

AC Milan coach Clarence Seedorf insists club president Silvio Berlusconi has not set him any ultimatum after a 1-1 draw at Lazio on Sunday night gave him some breathing space.

Paul: Milan stop the rot

The pressure has been mounting on Seedorf, who has failed to turn the Rossoneri's season around since replacing Massimiliano Allegri as coach earlier this year. It had been rumoured he would not survive the week in the event of defeat to Lazio, but a hard-earned point has given him a stay of execution.

"I'm relaxed, motivated and convinced," Seedorf told Sky Sport Italia after the match. "I feel that the team are behind me 100 percent. The effort I see on the field is the effort you can expect from a team looking to get out of this situation. Besides, I don't read what's written, otherwise I'd just go crazy.

"The president and [general manager Adriano] Galliani have not called me to say I only have two games left before they make up their minds. Berlusconi's not called me for any reason."

He added: "One day, Galliani told me that [the president] would prefer two wins even if we play badly. Maybe if we carry on like this, we'll make him happy. Joking aside, at the moment, all that matters is getting points. In the past, we've played well and still lost.

"I'm enjoying my experience here. I feel I'm growing every day. Of course I'm not happy with the results, but today was another positive step."
