Alex Song has said he is destined to return to England, and will assess his future at Barcelona in the summer.
Song, 26, signed a five-year deal at the Camp Nou when he left Arsenal in summer 2012, but has been unable to earn a regular place in the starting line-up in Catalonia.
With three years left on his contract, however, the Cameroon international told BeIN Sport he is not quite ready to weigh up his options yet.
"I will return to England, that's for certain," Song said. "Right now, I'm not thinking about it. If I have to leave Barcelona one day, it will be for a transfer to England.
"At the end of the season, I need to take stock and see what I'm going to do for my future."
Manchester United are reportedly keen on bringing Song back to the Premier League. However, while Song would not name any potential destinations, the midfielder did speak of his attachment to the man who plucked him from the relative obscurity of Bastia in 2005: Arsene Wenger.
"He was like a father to me. He spoke a lot with me when I arrived to Arsenal,” Song said. "I wanted to renew my contract with Arsenal but in that case I would have regretted not joining Barcelona. Barcelona are the best side in the world."
