David Moyes has dismissed a claim made by Ronald de Boer that Robin van Persie is unhappy at Manchester United.
Former Netherlands international De Boer was quoted by talkSPORT this week as saying his compatriot Van Persie is "not enjoying the football Manchester United are playing."
He also said that the striker would leave should manager Moyes not bring in "new, young, great players," with the club currently seventh in the Premier League table.
Responding to De Boer's comments, Moyes said: "I couldn't reply to that and I wouldn't know how Ronald de Boer would know that."
Van Persie, who signed for the Red Devils from Arsenal for around 24 million pounds in 2012, has scored 11 goals in 16 Premier League appearances this campaign.
On Friday, under pressure Moyes wrote to United fans, expressing his disappointment at the club's poor form this season and thanking the supporters for their continued backing.
