Pogba interest 'does not scare' Juventus

Juventus president Andrea Agnelli says clubs would be wasting their time bidding for midfielder Paul Pogba because they have no intention of selling.

Paul Pogba joined the likes of Isco and Mario Goetze as recent recipients of the Golden Boy award.
Paul Pogba has become an integral player for Juventus after leaving Manchester United in 2012.

• Rzouki: Bianconeri finances

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly tracking the France international and they may make a lucrative offer in the summer, while Manchester United manager David Moyes watched the 20-year-old play in Les Blues' 2-0 win over the Netherlands on Wednesday.

Agnelli, however, is not concerned by the interest Pogba is attracting, saying it "cannot scare us, but should rather be something to be proud of."

The Bianconeri "are a buying club and not a selling one," Corriere dello Sport reports Agnelli as saying at a UNESCO event in Paris, while the Juve president defined the France midfielder as "extraordinary."

The Serie A side signed Pogba on a free transfer from Manchester United just over 18 months ago, and in that time the player's value has risen exponentially.

Pogba has become a full senior international having captained France to FIFA under-20 World Cup glory, and is increasingly catching the eye with two years left to run on his contract in Turin -- though Agnelli sees Pogba as Juventus' future.

"We're building a side year on year and the work we've done so far has been incredible," Agnelli continued. "Paul represents this growth. Let's not forget that two years ago, nobody knew who he was and we were the first to spot him.

"If other clubs admire our discoveries, then we can only be proud about that. Pogba is our own world heritage."
