Klose: I have some interesting options

Lazio striker Miroslav Klose has revealed that there are a number of clubs interested in signing him on a free transfer in the summer.

Miroslav Klose was Lazio's match-winner against Inter Milan
Miroslav Klose joined Lazio in 2011.

Palmer: Best free agents

Klose, 35, who was linked with a deadline-day switch to Arsenal in January, is in the final year of his contract at the Stadio Olimpico.

The former Bayern Munich player -- who has scored six Serie A goals in 19 appearances for Lazio this season -- has been tipped to move to the MLS, as well as a return to Germany.

And Klose is looking forward to wherever he may end up as he still feels he has plenty to offer on the football pitch.

"I can still play at a high level for two or three more years," Klose, who joined Lazio in 2011, told SZ.

"I thank God that there are so many interesting options there for me.

"There are so many false rumours that have gone around, what is certain is that I want to continue playing at a high level."

Klose, who is set to retire from international football with Germany after this summer’s World Cup, is the nation's joint all-time record goal scorer with Gerd Mueller.

He is also level with Mueller with 14 goals at World Cup finals, just one behind all-time top scorer Ronaldo.

When asked about reaching or bettering that mark at this summer's tournament in Brazil after Germany's 1-0 friendly win over Chile on Wednesday, Klose admitted: "I can’t say that this does not interest me. I am too ambitious for that. But the team comes first."
