Pardew calm over Debuchy future

Alan Pardew has said he has "no worries" about Mathieu Debuchy's Newcastle future following speculation over a summer move.

• Ryder: Newcastle should make Remy part of their future

Debuchy was quoted by RMC in quotes picked up by the Shields Gazette as saying his future is uncertain beyond this season.

But Pardew has insisted the right-back, who signed for Newcastle from Lille in January 2013, is set to stay at St James' Park.

The Magpies boss is quoted by Sky Sports as saying: "I don't think the quotes are accurate, something can get lost in translation.

"I have spoken to him, he is very happy at the club, he signed for four years and he is an important player who has done well and improved as he has gone along.

"I have no worries about those comments. You do never know in football. We are looking to change and strengthen in a lot of positions next year but that won't be one of them."
