Zlatan cools talk of Dortmund switch

PSG striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic insisted he has no plans to move to the Bundesliga after his Champions League brace against Bayer Leverkusen.

Ibrahimovic, 32, offered to join BVB during a tongue-in-cheek exchange with Juergen Klopp at last month’s Ballon d’Or gala, saying in front of the TV cameras:  “When will you bring me to Dortmund?”

Footage of the conversation between Ibrahimovic and Klopp quickly went viral, and has close to 2 million views on YouTube.

Klopp said the next day that the Sweden captain’s tongue-in-cheek offer was a great compliment to Dortmund and in the wake of PSG’s 4-0 victory in Leverkusen a Sky reporter asked Ibrahimovic whether he truly had any designs on playing in Germany.

“That is not possible,” Ibrahimovic, who is under contract at Paris until 2016, said. “I feel great in Paris. I want to play here for a long time.

“But Juergen Klopp is a cool guy, I like the way he coaches on the sideline and I quite enjoy watching Dortmund play.”

Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc can now redirect his focus on more realistic signings to replace the Bayern Munich-bound Robert Lewandowski.
