Debuchy unsure of Newcastle future

Newcastle United defender Mathieu Debuchy has told French media his future is uncertain beyond the end of this season.

Mathieu Debuchy endured a difficult start to his Newcastle career
Debuchy is one member of a strong French contingent at Newcastle.

Duffy: Ashley's next move

Debuchy, 28, has been strongly linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain whom his close friend and former Newcastle teammate Yohan Cabaye joined in January, and is also reportedly being tracked by Bayern Munich.

Though he signed a five-and-a-half year deal with the Magpies when he joined them from Lille in January 2013, the France international full-back would not commit to being at St. James's Park beyond next summer.

"I am here [at Newcastle] until the end of the season and for next year, I do not know," he told RMC in quotes picked up by the Shields Gazette, adding the team had been hit by Cabaye's departure.

"This is a great loss for us so obviously I was sad but I can be happy for him because PSG is a great club. I have had the opportunity to talk a little with Yohan Cabaye and it is clear he is really happy there."
